Abstract

Automated policy enforcement systems are increasingly used by digital platforms to manage user behavior, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain community standards. While such systems bring in a level of scalability and efficiency, they also raise several ethical concerns related to issues of bias, transparency, accountability, and fairness. This manuscript will address the ethics of automated policy enforcement on digital platforms by considering both the advantages and challenges faced by such systems. Through an overview of existing literature, assessment of methodologies, and analysis of case studies, this study tries to give an in-depth understanding of how ethical considerations can be integrated into automated enforcement frameworks. Recommendations for improving transparency, user trust, and fairness are also put forward.
