Submission Guidelines

The Universal Journal of Humanities and Multi-Disciplinary Studies (UJHMDS) invites original, high-quality research contributions from academicians, researchers, scholars, and practitioners across diverse disciplines. Authors are requested to carefully follow the guidelines below to ensure smooth processing and review of their manuscripts.

  1. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

UJHMDS accepts the following categories of submissions:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Case Studies
  • Conceptual Papers
  • Short Communications
  • Scholarly Essays

All submissions must contribute significantly to theory, practice, or interdisciplinary knowledge.

  1. Language and Originality
  • Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise English.
  • Submissions must be original and unpublished.
  • Manuscripts must not be under review or consideration by any other journal.
  • Authors must ensure proper citation and adherence to ethical standards.
  1. Manuscript Length
  • Research Articles: 4,000–8,000 words
  • Review Articles: 5,000–10,000 words
  • Short Papers: 2,000–3,000 words

Word limits may vary for special issues with prior editorial approval.

  1. Formatting Requirements
  • File Format: MS Word (.doc or .docx)
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 12 pt (main text), 14 pt bold (headings)
  • Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
  • Page numbers must be included

Tables and figures should be clearly labeled and cited within the text.

  1. Structure of the Manuscript

Manuscripts should be arranged in the following order:

  1. Title of the Paper
  2. Author(s) Name(s) and Affiliation(s)
  3. Abstract (150–250 words)
  4. Keywords (3–6 keywords)
  5. Introduction
  6. Literature Review (if applicable)
  7. Methodology
  8. Results and Discussion
  9. Conclusion
  10. Acknowledgements (optional)
  11. References
  1. Referencing Style

Authors must follow a consistent citation style throughout the manuscript. Accepted styles include:

  • APA (7th Edition)
  • MLA
  • Chicago Style

All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa.

  1. Plagiarism and Ethical Compliance
  • The acceptable similarity index must not exceed 15% (excluding references).
  • All submissions undergo plagiarism screening.
  • Authors must declare conflicts of interest, if any.
  • Research involving human participants must comply with ethical standards.
  1. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts are subjected to a double-blind peer review process. Authors must remove identifying details from the manuscript to maintain anonymity during review.

  1. Submission Procedure

Manuscripts should be submitted electronically through:

  • The journal’s official online submission system

Each submission must include:

  • The Manuscript File
  • Author Declaration Form
  • Plagiarism Compliance Confirmation
  1. Article Processing Charges (APC)

Any applicable Article Processing Charges (APCs) will be clearly communicated after acceptance of the manuscript. There are no submission or review charges unless otherwise specified.

  1. Revision and Final Acceptance

If revisions are requested, authors must submit the revised manuscript within the stipulated timeframe along with a detailed response to reviewer comments. Final publication is subject to editorial approval.
