Abstract

The metaverse is a shared virtual environment that is fast becoming one of the bedrocks of digital interaction. However, the critical concern for the metaverse is how to establish user trust in this new environment in the face of privacy concerns, security vulnerabilities, and ethical challenges. This manuscript talks about the role of policy compliance in enhancing user trust in the metaverse. We analyze, through existing frameworks, statistical analysis, and qualitative insights, how adhering to robust policies can build trust, safeguard user interests, and ensure sustainable growth. The findings provide actionable recommendations for policymakers and platform developers.
