The Universal Journal of Humanities and Multi-Disciplinary Studies (UJHMDS) publishes all articles under an open-access licensing framework designed to promote the free dissemination, accessibility, and responsible reuse of scholarly research while protecting the rights of authors.
Copyright Ownership
Authors publishing in UJHMDS retain full copyright of their work.
By submitting and publishing a manuscript, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive licence to:
- Publish the article in electronic and print formats
- Reproduce, distribute, and archive the work
- Make the work publicly accessible through the journal website and indexing platforms
This non-exclusive licence allows authors to continue using their work without restriction for academic and professional purposes.
Creative Commons Licence
Unless otherwise specified, all articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution Licence (CC BY) or an equivalent open-access licence.
Under the CC BY licence:
- Readers may copy, share, redistribute, and adapt the work
- The material may be used for academic, research, and educational purposes
- Proper credit must be given to the original author(s) and the journal
- A link to the licence must be provided
- Any modifications or adaptations must be clearly indicated
The licence promotes global knowledge sharing while ensuring proper attribution to authors.
Author Rights
Authors are permitted to:
- Deposit the published version (Version of Record) in institutional or subject repositories
- Share their work on personal websites, academic networks, or professional platforms
- Use the content for teaching, conference presentations, and future research publications
- Include the work in theses, dissertations, or edited volumes
No prior permission from the journal is required for these uses, provided appropriate citation is maintained.
User Responsibilities
Users of content published in UJHMDS must:
- Properly cite the original author(s) and source
- Not misrepresent, distort, or misuse the work
- Not imply endorsement by the author(s) or journal without permission
- Respect ethical and academic standards when reusing content
Third-Party Content
If an article contains third-party copyrighted material (such as images, tables, or data), authors are responsible for obtaining necessary permissions. The Creative Commons licence does not apply to materials for which authors do not hold rights.
Licence Modifications
Any variation from the default licensing terms must be approved by the editorial office prior to publication and will be clearly stated in the published article.
