The Universal Journal of Humanities and Multi-Disciplinary Studies (UJHMDS) appoints International Editors to strengthen its global academic presence, uphold high scholarly standards, and promote interdisciplinary research across diverse geographical and academic contexts.
International Editors serve as ambassadors of academic excellence and contribute to maintaining the integrity, credibility, and international visibility of the journal.
Appointment Criteria
Candidates considered for appointment as International Editors must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Qualifications
- Possession of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant discipline.
- Active involvement in teaching, research, or academic administration at a recognized institution.
- Research and Publication Record
- Demonstrated record of publications in reputable national and/or international peer-reviewed journals.
- Recognized expertise in one or more fields aligned with the journal’s scope.
- Experience as a peer reviewer, editorial board member, or journal advisor is preferred.
- Scholarly Standing
- Established academic or professional reputation within the research community.
- Participation in conferences, research collaborations, or academic networks at national or international levels.
- Ethical Commitment
- Strong adherence to research ethics and publication integrity.
- No history of academic misconduct, plagiarism, or ethical violations.
- Commitment to confidentiality and impartiality in editorial responsibilities.
- Professional Contribution

Responsibilities of International Editors
International Editors play a vital role in maintaining the academic quality and global outreach of UJHMDS. Their responsibilities include:
- Providing expert editorial guidance and subject-specific academic support.
- Reviewing submitted manuscripts within their area of expertise or recommending qualified reviewers.
- Assisting in maintaining the rigor and transparency of the peer review process.
- Advising on journal policy development, scope expansion, and quality enhancement.
- Promoting the journal within international academic, research, and institutional networks.
- Encouraging high-quality submissions from diverse regions and disciplines.
- Supporting ethical publishing practices and reporting potential conflicts of interest.
- Contributing to special issues, thematic editions, or strategic academic initiatives when requested.
Term and Nature of Appointment
- The appointment of an International Editor is honorary and academic in nature.
- The typical term of appointment is two to three years, subject to renewal based on performance and mutual agreement.
- No financial remuneration is associated with this role unless explicitly specified by the journal.
Conflict of Interest
International Editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to manuscript evaluation, authorship, institutional affiliation, or personal relationships. In cases of conflict, the editor must recuse themselves from handling the concerned manuscript.
Termination of Appointment
The journal reserves the right to revoke the appointment of an International Editor in cases of:
- Proven ethical misconduct

- Failure to fulfill assigned responsibilities
- Actions that may harm the reputation or credibility of the journal
