The Future of Self-Moderation Tools in Virtual and Augmented Reality

Abstract

Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies are changing the way digital interactions are experienced by creating immersive environments. However, as these platforms grow in popularity, the challenge of content moderation to ensure safe virtual spaces becomes more critical. Self-moderation tools have been looked at as a promising solution for this, allowing users to take control over their experiences while taking some burdens off of centralized moderation systems. This manuscript discusses the future of self-moderation tools in VR/AR by analyzing current trends, challenges, and opportunities. Through a review of existing technologies, methodologies, and user feedback, this study offers insights into effective and scalable self-moderation tool design for an immersive digital future.
